Awesome and helpful
This is a great book for artists and covers many different aspects of drawing male characters. Not only does it go over basic anatomy (and more detailed anatomy) it goes over many stances, poses, and even goes over clothing options. The book also goes over the many positions of hands and feet (which is great if you're like me and can't draw either). This is designed for an artist who is somewhat familiar with drawing the human figure but you certainly don't have to be an expert.
Now I know why there are more books about females than men.
Men are far easier than women to draw once you know how. They are more...simplistic? Maybe you're like me and are over complicating the whole process of drawing men. This book is a wonderful help. Buy it.
Useful for more than just manga art
This is a great reference book in my opinion, especially if you have no idea how to even pronounce anatomy. If you're looking to be able to draw seriously thoroughly detailed super-muscle men, this might not be the best book, but It definately is great for beginners, and it gives a lot of great examples of how what part of the body looks liek what when a male character does what. For instance theres a whole page on hands, and hand positions, and one for glasses... one shows how the chest moves as the arm moves. Great reference if you don't have a model or a bunch of nude pictures in front of you. I love this guide. Borrowed it to my friend who want's to improve her skills as well, and she's becoming amazing at drawing men!
