Great introduction book for learning and teaching Copperplate
I was going to give this book 4 stars but I realized this is the book that I usually give away to others to learn how to do Copperplate because it is easy to understand and has great guidelines that you can copy and the price is so low that I can always replace the one that I have given away. However, the best book to learn Copperplate from is "The Zanerian Manual" which is a much bigger book with 140 pages and only first 11 pages has lessons on Copperplate which is also called Roundhand, Engrosser's and Engraver's scripts. Also, there are lessons online from IAMPETH website and videos (view my other review for details) that will teach you Copperplate.
Calligraphy in the Copperplate Style
This is a fabulous manual for beginners, explaining the 17th century calligraphy technique which imitates copper etchings of the same, using a fine nib. A great buy with nice detail.
