The manuel is worth the price for just one or two tips you might pick up when you need to do repairs.
Well written manual
Manufactured housing repair and maintenance is substantially different from standard housing. It is very difficult to find information regarding good repair for a manufactured home. This manual is well written, straight forward and easy to follow. The manual is broken down into the specific subject areas or projects that plague a manufactured home owner. Each section has useful pictures and clear, concise instructions for each job from start to finish. The manual also has lots of tips and tricks to make most any job easier. I would highly recommend this manual for all mobile/manufactured home owners, whether they are planning their own project, or as a guide to make sure any one quoting them on a job really knows what they are doing.
The Manual for Manufactured/ Mobile Home Repair and Upgrade
Some of this book uses standard carpentry skill's that you would use in any home. But it has ALOT of imformation that pertains solely to Mobile/ manufactured homes. The chapters on "belly repairs" and repairing that soft spot in your flooring alone is well worth the price of the book. It is obvious that the author has "been there, and done that." If your own a manufactured/ mobile home and you considering a complete rebuild, or simple repairs doing it yourself, or by a contractor, this book needs to be in your library. If your doing it yourself, you'll know what your getting into ahead of time. If your hiring a contractor you'll know what work truely needs to be done, so they can't bring you to the cleaners! This book has a plastic binding.
