Couldn't put it down!

Great! Wonderful! Couldn't put it down! I read it cover to cover. One of my best purchases ever. Now if they'd just release the show on DVD!

Kitchen Stadium

Iron Chef - The Official Book contains 294 pages filled with nice color photos of Kitchen Stadium, The Iron Chefs and their challengers, and all the exotic and wonderful dishes that are only dreampt up in the legendary Kitchen Stadium. Along with the photos of the dishes are a small handful of recipes.

Even though I absolutely LOVE the Iron Chef show, this book left me a bit wanting. Yes, the photos are nice...but, there just isn't enough bite to this book. Although the book does go somewhat into the behind-the-scenes stuff, I had a constant feeling while reading it that they could've gone a bit further. And for me, this little bit of extra makes all the difference between actually enjoying the book or just feeling that it is OK.

No matter, this book is the only official release for the original Iron Chef. So aside from enjoying old reruns of the original masterpiece, I will still recommend this book for all diehard Iron Chef fans as a nice piece of momento to relieve all the glorious moments of Kitchen Stadium.
