Not the choice for This Balabusta!
I have a huge collection of Jewish/Kosher Cookbooks and I usually find something I like in all of them, and I never ever get rid of one from my collection; but this one I actually gave away. The pictures are almost all out of focus, causing dizziness at best, nausea at worst. I found virtually nothing appetizing about the recipes or the pictures. I bought this book with hopes of finding some tried and true favorites, instead I rushed to take it out of my house.
Sorry, this Balabusta will have to choose something else.
Great Cookbook
I really love this cookbook! My local library carries it and I've taken it our more times than I can remember. The recipes taste delicious and are very easy to follow. I have never seen a recipe with 9 sticks of margarine in it so I am not sure what the other review is talking about. There is even a whole chapter on miniatures! I have finally decided to buy it - trust me, you will really like it.
a pretty decent cook book
this cookbook is pretty decent and the pictures are great. there is , however absolutely no regard to fat content and you can find recipes calling for 9 sticks plus an additional 2 pounds of margerine so that although this cake is amazing you are essentially eating flavored margerine.
