It makes you feel proud to be a Persian!
I love this book. Its such a beautiful treasure to have at home.
Its filled with the well known Persian "Khores" dishes however you'll be amazed what other exotic dishes Persians have in the menu that go back well before our grandmothers were born (hens the name Ancient Persian).
I also ordered this books as a birthday present for my younger sister, whom is now very westernised with no-one to tempt her towards the art of Persian cooking. She was absolutely thrilled about it and I know she'll hang on to it for the rest of her life.
I made the salad Olveeyeh (excuse the spelling) for a work function the other day, and emails were pouring in for the recipe !
I even recommend this book to the already persian master-chef. The author aims to please, so you might learn a trick or two.
The book is filled with beautiful Persian Poetry and a detailed guide to Persian food culture.

As good as it gets...
Growing up in a Persian home and mother who I judge to be the best cook in the world, I am a pretty tough critic on good Persian food. The recipes in this book are pretty true to what I've learned over the years. Plus, there are a ton of recipes I had never even heard of. Every recipe has yielded a delicious result. The recipes are as good as they get, the rest of it...well that depends on practice and experience. Also key, always use the freshest possible ingredients. They sell this book at the Persian market and it is way more expensive than it is on Amazon. A word of advice, if you are going to try and make any of these recipes you are going to need patience. It is well worth it though.
Beautiful & Excellent cookbook
Best Persian cookbook, adjusted for cooks living in the U.S. Pictures are excellent, directions easy to follow, recipes are well developed and results are predictably wonderful. I have given this book as a gift at least four times, and plan to purchase more, I have an earlier edition and don't mind getting the newer edition myself, since pictures and recipes keep getting better and more beautifully illustrated. I am very happy with this cookbook.
