AMAZING!!!
THIS IS A WONDERFUL ! I AM NOW ABLE TO FLY VERY COMFORTABLEY---AND I DO OFTEN.
I HAD BEEN SO NERVOUS ABOUT FLYING THAT I AVOIDED IT FOR YEARS! NOW I FLY!!!
Amazing CD
This CD really helped make a normally unpleasant situation almost enjoyable. I had to fly five times in one week and listened to it during every flight. I felt like I was able to handle my fear better and better each time.
Disappointing
I bought this CD in an attempt to diminish the anxiety and stress I usually experience before and during flights. It arrived one day before a connecting flight I was supposed to take (two take offs & two landings the same day!) and I was so relieved to see it because I had read good things about it and I was confident it will work for me as well. The truth is it didn't. It is totally useless from my point of view, because it lacks the logical approach in aiding the fearful flier. It's all about breathing and curling your toes, and I did try all that, but at the first sign of turbulence (even the lightest of those) I was horrified and turned off my iPod to look for better comfort. Besides, for safety reasons you can't use the recording during takeoff and landing, which are some of the worst moments a fearful flier may experience. So you're left with learing the breath-curl routine and supposedly practise it at these times.
If you need knowledge to conquer your fears, this CD is not for you. I recommend you buy a book that guides you through all the usual occurences of a flight. I found one that even explains all the noises you should hear (at the specific moments when they occur), or the dynamics of the wings for dummies and so many other useful pieces of information that can really help in dealing with your fears.
A definite no no for me.
