Lifting Again

This book is a must have if you are getting back into lifting after a lay off. Dave Draper cuts through the chase and delivers a no nonsense progression that will allow any lifter to return to the sport of weightlifting with a seamless transition that is comfortable, reasonable, and progressive. Following his instruction will allow for the toning and conditioning that will afford any lifter the smoothest and easiest entry into bodybuilding training. After three weeks of introduction exercise, I have reestablished a foundation of fittness that has allowed me to tackle his most aggressive training routines. He also gives common sense practices for nutrition that are easy to follow. Dave's alignment of exercises has allowed me to work from one exercise to another without fatigue. The sequence of exercises have been arranged to allow you deliver maximum effort to each exercise. He provides workout routines to fit every time schedule that you can imagine. After years of research and lifting routines of every kind, I can earnestly say that this book has far exceeded any that I have every read. I have lifted as a powerlifter and bodybuilder. I have coached high school football and taught weightlifting to high school athletes for over 19 years. This is an outstanding text for personal lifting and coaching athletes.

Dave Dreper

Dave Draper is both entertaining and informative in his unique way. Full of humor and valuable insights for the fitness/body builder individual. A gold mine of information and a lifetime of insight. Excellent book.

Review #3

Motivation when you need it

Former Mr. America and bodybuilding great, Dave Draper, is a gifted writer and deep, thoughtful thinker. This book is a collection of his best essays on life and bodybuilding. But more than that, they're inspiration to all of us who lose our motivation to workout --- and that pretty much includes us all. Right?

Each chapter stands on it's own. So you can read it straight through or pick a chapter. I like to read one a day or one before a workout or just when I need inspiration. The book has been a real blessing to me and my guess is it will be for you as well.

It's not dated. So buy it now.

Highly recommended.
